My professional journey has been diverse and fulfilling. Before becoming an attorney, I worked as a university faculty researcher, at Oak Ridge National Lab, and with small technology startups. These roles helped me develop strong communication skills, which I now use to keep my clients informed about every aspect of their cases.
I’ve always had a passion for law and helping others. In my early 30s, I decided to turn this passion into a career and graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Shortly after, I became a new parent and faced the immense challenge of battling stage IV cancer. This experience taught me the value of strong family connections and resilience, inspiring me to start Apol Law LLC in 2013. My mission is to support families through difficult legal issues with compassion and dignity.
At Apol Law, we focus on family law, covering areas such as divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. We also handle estate planning and administration. My goal is to provide holistic support to families, ensuring they have the legal guidance and emotional support they need during challenging times.
One of my proudest achievements is receiving the 2023 Anne Arundel Bar Association President’s Pro Bono Award. I am actively involved in various professional associations, including the Maryland State Bar Association and the Anne Arundel County Chapter of the Women’s Bar Association, where I serve as President-Elect. Additionally, I taught a seminar for the Maryland State Bar Association Summit and founded the Family Law Skills and Study Group to mentor new family law attorneys.
In my spare time, I enjoy sailing with my husband, walking our dogs, and watching our kid play hockey at the ice rink. These activities help me unwind and stay connected with my family, which is incredibly important to me.
